About Me
I am 17 years old and live in Louisville, CO. I love photography. When I was 9 years old, I traveled to Alaska and started taking photos of wildlife. Since then, I have been photographing birds and other wildlife. Travel, fishing and fly tying are my other hobbies.
WILDLIFE
Photographing wildlife is a quest of mine to show the animal in its natural habitat. The mood of the landscape around it frames the shot. It sets the tone of the image. My image will show the bird, for example, but also the habitat it lives in and the expression of the bird.
LANDSCAPE
The definition of landscape photography states that landscape photos typically capture the presence of nature. How I see it is capturing the hidden angles of the world where no one else may look. It’s about capturing the true beauty of the world around us.
Architecture
Photography of buildings and structures is my newest exploration where I will learn to highlight the unique design, angles and perspectives of buildings and their surroundings. My learning will continue during my 8th grade Aperture project starting in 2018.
Thank you to Tim Seibert of Flatirons ProMedia for taking these photos of me and for mentoring me.
